Jonathan Apple
Jonathan is an American apple from the early 1800s. It originated in Ulster County, New York. Jonathan was the sixth best selling apple in the United States. It is also known as the parent variety for many well-known varieties of apples, such as Jonagold.
Jonathan apples are medium in size with a tendency to be smaller in older trees. The base color is greenish-yellow to yellow, skin color is light brown-red. The flesh is white with a yellowish-green tinge, it is crisp, solid and dense, not very juicy, but has a pleasant sweet flavor.
A good eating apple. To be harvested in mid-October(UK) and can be stored for a long time.
